Ethnikos Achnas 2024 Jersey Presentation: A Tribute to History

We were commissioned by Ethnikos Achna to produce two videos for the presentation of their official 2024 jerseys. These emotionally charged videos commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Turkish invasion, which left Achna's village occupied. The narrative follows a grandfather sharing memories of the war with his grandchildren, connecting their local football team, Ethnikos Achnas, to a larger historical context.

Challenges & Approach

Filmed near Turkish-controlled areas, the production used non-actors to deliver authenticity. The old man lived through the 1974 events, adding depth to the storytelling.

The result

The videos went viral across Cyprus, serving as both a poignant memorial of the invasion and a powerful promotion of Ethnikos Achnas' official jerseys.
