Padbol Cyprus Promotional Video: A Viral Success

We were commissioned by Padbol Cyprus to create a dynamic promotional video showcasing the growing popularity of the sport in Cyprus. The concept was to produce a commercial that would captivate audiences across the island, and it succeeded in going viral.

The video featured Costas Malekos, one of Cyprus' most iconic footballers, disguised as an elderly man who surprises younger players at the Padbol fields with his incredible skills. The addition of well-known footballers as extras added further appeal to the production. Costas Malekos was not only professional but also enthusiastic, making the entire filming process smooth and enjoyable.

Challenges & Approach

We worked closely with the Padbol Cyprus team to ensure the fields in Nicosia were perfectly prepared for shooting. To create a unique visual aesthetic, we used vintage lenses, giving the video a distinct, nostalgic look. The inclusion of many extras throughout the video helped bring the field to life, showcasing it as a popular and lively location.

The result

The result was a visually stunning video that resonated with audiences across Cyprus, quickly going viral. Sponsored by Cablenet, the commercial aired on national TV for several months, gaining widespread recognition and significantly promoting Padbol as a sport in Cyprus.
