We created a documentary for a skilled Cypriot pipe maker in a village near Larnaca, Cyprus. Specialising in the rare craft of handcrafting smoking pipes, the artist’s work was beautifully captured in this award-winning documentary. The film, which earned accolades including the Nikon Short Film Global Competition, focuses on showcasing the intricate pipe-making process and the artistry involved.

Challenges & Approach

During the COVID-19 period, we had the opportunity to invest in creative projects that highlighted local talent. The documentary was filmed in Tersefanou village, near Larnaca, Cyprus, where we followed the pipe maker’s journey of finding inspiration in nature and crafting his unique pipes. Our approach was to authentically portray both the artistic process and the environment that influences his creations.
